Currently completing his Bachelor of Music in Composition at the University of Calgary, Peter combines a strong academic foundation with a rich background in piano performance and music education.

Since 2018, Peter has taught private piano lessons to students of all ages, helping them develop proper technique, expressive musicianship, and a lifelong love of music. His lessons are personalized, engaging, and structured to meet the unique goals of each student—whether they’re just starting out or preparing for advanced repertoire and competitions.

Peter’s teaching is informed by years of competitive performance experience and a deep understanding of music theory, sight reading, and composition. He’s also been recognized with several awards, including the Helen and F.R. Graham Award and the Jason Lang Scholarship, reflecting his commitment to excellence in both teaching and performance.

Stephanie is a passionate piano and voice teacher at Chestermere Music Academy, dedicated to nurturing both vocal and instrumental talents.

With many years of teaching experience and a background in vocal performance, she offers a well-rounded approach to music education, helping students refine their technical skills and build confidence in their musical abilities.

Stephanie’s qualifications include RCM Piano Level 7 and Level 8 Theory (Advanced Rudiments) certifications, as well as a year of formal vocal training. She has showcased her skills as a Featured Performer at Collective’s Safe Spaces Event.

Her vocal lessons focus on essential techniques such as breath control, tone production, and expressive interpretation, guiding students to feel comfortable and confident in their singing.

Stephanie’s deep passion for sharing music in community settings drives her to help students discover their unique voices and express themselves through music.

Her thoughtful and warm teaching style creates a positive, encouraging learning environment where students are inspired to grow and develop a lifelong love of music.

Brett is a versatile music instructor teaching guitar, ukulele, and piano to students of all ages and skill levels. With over six years of teaching experience, Brett has guided students through a variety of genres, tailoring lessons to inspire and engage learners of all backgrounds.

A Canadian-based classical guitarist, Brett has been performing professionally for over eight years. He holds an undergraduate degree in Performance and Composition from the University of Lethbridge, where he studied under renowned mentors Iliana Matos and Arlan Schultz.

Brett specializes in Spanish and Baroque music, bringing depth and authenticity to his teaching and performances. His expertise also extends to modern and popular music styles, ensuring a well-rounded and dynamic learning experience for his students.

With his passion for music and dedication to fostering growth, Brett is committed to helping students achieve their musical goals while developing a lifelong appreciation for the art of music.

Meet Teacher Kyle (Guitar, Piano, Ukulele, Voice)

Kyle is an experienced guitarist and musician of over 15 years. His expertise lies in guitar, yet he is also skilled in Piano, Singing, Ukulele, and Songwriting. Being largely self-taught, Kyle understands how a student or early beginner may feel, so he always strives to make his lessons as fun, engaging, and educational as possible.

Kyle finds a happy medium of musical influences between the heavy, low-tuned guitar instrumentation found in Rock Music and the powerful emotional expression found in Classical music, namely Beethoven. This wide range has made Kyle adept when it comes to different genres, and he continues to learn new styles and techniques to add to his arsenal.

Kyle started his musical journey at the age of 4 with piano, but developed a love for the guitar. This passion grew and increased his horizons into learning songs, scales and anything he wanted to on the instrument. Even after the countless hours he poured into practicing guitar, singing, and piano, Kyle still enjoys learning new things and would love to continue to expand his knowledge of music

Brennan Arsenault is a seasoned guitarist, vocalist, and music educator with years of experience as a studio musician, live performer, and vocal coach. His training blends classical technique with the modern, performance-driven approach of Musicians Institute, guided by two highly accomplished mentors.

Brennan’s greatest passion is helping others grow through music. Whether he’s teaching beginners or more advanced students, he thrives on transforming raw potential into confident, expressive musicians. His approach is clear: build a strong foundation, master the fundamentals, and then evolve into your own unique musical voice.

Brennan brings energy, expertise, and a deep love for live performance to every lesson—making learning not only productive, but truly inspiring.

Meet Teacher Hailey (Piano, Voice)

Hailey holds a Bachelor of Music in History and Theory from the University of Calgary and has recently completed her Grade 10 Royal Conservatory of Music piano exam—an accomplishment that reflects her dedication to both academic and practical musicianship.

With a strong foundation in music theory and a warm, supportive teaching style, Hailey offers lessons that are both structured and inspiring. She works with students of all levels—whether they’re preparing for exams, learning for personal enjoyment, or just starting out—guiding each one to build confidence, creativity, and a lasting appreciation for music. Chestermere Music Academy is the brainchild of Carol Cowie, a dedicated music educator with an unwavering commitment to nurturing both students and teachers as we embark on our journey towards creating an exceptional music studio experience. Hailing from Northern Ireland, Carol's passion for music ignited at the tender age of 4, under the guidance of esteemed mentors Ruth White and Elizabeth McCausland. At 18, she ventured to Dublin, where her musical odyssey truly began at the College of Music, Dublin.

In Dublin, Carol immersed herself in the world of piano performance and pedagogy, emerging as a top graduate of her class and the proud recipient of the Frank O'Reilly Cup for Perpetual Excellence. Holding the prestigious distinction of being a Licentiate of the Royal Schools of Music, London, as well as possessing a Graduate Diploma in Music Teaching from the College of Music, Dublin, Carol stands as a beacon of musical proficiency and instructional prowess.

But her musical talents don't stop at the piano. With nearly three decades of teaching experience under her belt, Carol is equally accomplished as a clarinettist and piano accompanist. Her multifaceted musical expertise enriches the learning experiences of all who cross her path.

Carol's infectious enthusiasm for music and teaching is palpable, and she is thrilled to extend her love for both to the vibrant Chestermere community. Her integral role in ensuring that every student and educator at Chestermere Music Academy feels valued and supported makes her an indispensable part of our journey toward building the next level music studio.

Amber works closely with both new and returning families to make sure students are placed in the right programs and supported throughout their musical journey.
